The client
From its clinic in Bentleigh, Victoria, Bayside Psychotherapy offers a blend of counselling, hypnotherapy, mindfulness therapy and psychotherapy services.
What they needed
In 2010, Bayside contacted us because they wanted to improve the SEO copywriting on the important pages of their website. The site was ranking well, but the copy was overloaded with keywords and was very unfriendly for readers, and therefore not very compelling. The client was also worried the site might be mistaken for an affiliate landing site, because it contained numerous affiliate links to audio downloads, and these links were very prominent on the page. He urgently needed advice on how to eliminate this risk.
Since then, Bayside has needed numerous pages of copy and other collateral, and in 2019, they asked us to once again refresh their web design.
What we did
Initially, we rewrote all of Bayside’s SEO copy, and completely redesigned their site, so that their services became the focal point, yet the affiliate links were still prominent enough to continue generating revenue.
We’ve since worked closely with them on numerous copy, design and development projects, including meta tags, SEO copy, autoresponders, brochures, office signage, sales copy, conversion optimisation and an online booking facility.
All of this work required a clear understanding of the benefits of psychotherapy. This was particularly challenging because the benefits are subtle and difficult to grasp, and even more difficult to convey.
Then in 2019, we completely redesigned and rebuilt their website.
